This site took me about 12 hours to start and finish this redesign (3 days, 4 hours each day) for just the front page. By looking at some of the other pages I could take the header and footer of the front page and apply it to the rest of the site (assuming they are using a template) and save them a lot of bandwidth with a little work.
The original site required JavaScript to be enabled for the image swaps for the menu on the top. This was changed to be driven completely by CSS and removed all of the images except for a basic red arrow used in the background of a hover over.
The redesigned site also allows for a printer friendly site and can be customized to the way the company wants it to look like when it is printed without making a separate printer friendly page.
To save them even more money would require someone to go through each individual page and clean up the code and possibly expand the current CSS file.
I'll also work on an XHTML version of my paper given I have enough time to do it.
